Joni Knott

Ms. Joni Lynn Carty Knott, 43, of Thurmont, MD., passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at her home.
Born June 25, 1967, she was the daughter of the late Geraldine Scott Carty and Edwin L. Carty.
Joni attended Catoctin High School and graduated from Gettysburg High School. She was employed as a sales representative at Beckley’s RV’s for seven years. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, NASCAR, spending time with her family, friends and her kittens Petie and Princess.
She is survived by her siblings Steven L. Carty and wife Atie of TN, Barry E. Carty of Frederick, Darlene R. Carty and partner June Carlson and Jimmy Carty of PA, nieces and nephews Casey and Abby Carty, Billy, Bambi and Sarah Carty. She will also be remembered by her many friends especially Jo Kerns, Annetta and Charlie Cartee, Rae Lyn Shafer, Bob and Dottie, Janet Stine, Peanut Powell, Chris Hammond and Dwight Barry.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E, Main Street, Thurmont on Monday, February 7, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9:00 p.m., where services will be held Tuesday, February 8, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Donna Sandridge officiating.
Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
