John William Knoblock, Jr.
April 19, 1958 — April 30, 2009
Mr. John William Knoblock, Jr., 51 of Mt. Airy passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer at the Carroll County Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Julie Marie Rebuck Knoblock on March 2, 2009.
Born on April 19, 1958 in Bethesda, MD he was the son of Barbara Jean Walker Knoblock of Mt. Airy and the late John William Knoblock, Sr.
John was a self employed fence installer.
An avid Redskins fan, John enjoyed attending the Preakness and loved horse racing in general. He could be found spending his leisure time at the Cracked Claw in Urbannna.
Besides his mother, survivors include his two loving daughters, Brittany N. Barber of Frederick, and Jonni Leigh Knoblock of the home; his step father, James Bower of Mt. Airy; three siblings, Tammy Johnson of Mt. Airy, Kim Hawkins of Mt. Airy, and Tracey Knoblock and wife Portia of Breman, IN; two nieces, Monica Burroughs and Gabrielle Knoblock; two nephews, Danny Albaugh and Micah Knoblock; two great nieces, several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive him.
Visitation: The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd, Mt. Airy.
Services: Services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 5th with Rev. Merritt Ednie officiating.
