John Robert Miller

John Robert Miller, 86, of Boonsboro, Maryland, died Sunday, October 18, 2009 as a result of an automobile accident.
Born November 29, 1922 in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Howard E. and Emma R. (Brining) Miller.
He was a lifelong farmer and devoted member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Sharpsburg, where he served as Treasurer for many years.
Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 62 years Patsy Valentine Miller of Boonsboro, Maryland; one sister Geneva Barkdoll of Boonsboro, Maryland; and one brother Howard E. Miller, Jr. of Hagerstown, Maryland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Lee Myers.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 23, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at Mountain Vew Cemetery, Sharpsburg. Rev. Karen Erskine-Valentine and Rev. Richard G. Hembrock will officiate.
Friends may visit Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2009 where the family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m.
