Johnny Merrill Miner III, 26, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed from this life on Friday, July 7, 2017 at in Hagerstown, MD.
Born on January 21, 1991, in Bigstone Gap, VA, he was the son of Brenda Lee (Windsor) Summers and Johnny Merrill Miner, Jr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived his brother, Eric Brian Summers and his wife Ann; nephew Caden Summers and niece Eden Summers; uncles James Windsor and his wife Jamie and Michael Windsor and his wife Rose as well as his paternal grandmother, Ruth Jessie. He was preceded in death by step-father Glenn Claude Summers, Jr. and a great-aunt Hester Jenkins.
He was a graduate of Walkersville High School, class of 2009. Merrill was a very talented guitar player with local bands So Damn Thirsty and PAIN!. He was also a stand in guitar player for The Misfits when they played in the local area.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 14 from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. A celebration of Johnny's life journey will take place immediately following visitation at 4:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.
