John Joseph Kelly
July 19, 1927 — January 1, 2010
Mr. John Joseph Kelly, 82, of Frederick passed peacefully at his home on Friday January 1, 2010. He was the husband of Anne Wallace Kelly with whom he enjoyed many happy years. They were married on July 15, 1961.
Born on July 19, 1927 in Baltimore he was the only son of the late John J. and Myrtie M. Beasley Kelly.
He was an avid bowler and also enjoyed playing cards with his friends and watching sports, especially the Orioles. He took great pride in caring for his home, lawn and cars.
He was an usher and member at Holy Family Catholic Church in Randallstown for 30 Years and a member of St. Johns Catholic Church in Frederick for the last 12 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughter Christine Marie Whitaker and husband Kenneth of New Market and granddaughter Kelly Anne Reardon.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends on Friday January 8, from 6-9pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Services:
A mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00am on Saturday January 9, at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118 East Second Street, Frederick, MD 21701. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park, Sykesville.
