John "JB" Streight

John "JB" Streight, 80, of Odenton, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016, at Doctor's Community Hospital in Lanham, Maryland.

Born on March 26, 1936, he was the son of the late Clarence Elvin and Wilma Dolly (Forrest) Streight. His late wife, Patricia L. Streight, passed away April 13, 2000. They were married almost 40 years.

JB was a graduate of Brunswick High School Class of 1954.

He was employed from 1955 to 1984 with Safeway, Inc. and from 1984 to 2001 with Giant Foods, Inc. in shipping and receiving.

JB was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1136 in Brunswick and a former member of the Moose Lodge 1582 in Brunswick. He enjoyed good food, dancing, and fishing and he also played the harmonica and organ. Lastly, he loved children.

He is survived by his son, O. Bradley "Brad" Streight of Odenton; two sisters, Gloria A. Wilklow of Winchester, VA and Judith D. Greenfield of Brunswick; and he had numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by sister, Evelyn M. Snell and brothers, Clarence E. Streight, Jr. and Orville F. Streight.

Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Avenue in Brunswick.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hilllsboro Cemetery, Purcellville, VA.
