John Eric Grundman

Mr. John Eric Grundman, 40, of Owings Mills, MD, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2009.

Born in Baltimore, MD he was the son of M. Veronica (Ronnie) Gibson and Robert (Bob) R. Grundman, Sr.

A master HVAC mechanic, Eric was recently employed with Carrier Corporation as a Controls Specialist.

Eric was a instructor for 18 years with the Maryland Motorcycle Safety training program.

Survivors include his mother, M.Veronica
(Ronnie) Gibson and husband Craig of Hagerstown;
his father, Robert (Bob) R. Grundman, Sr. of Glen Burnie; siblings, Mark Jason Grundman and wife Megan of Laurel, Robert Grundman, Jr. and wife Teresa of Annapolis, Dolores Smith and husband Alan of Glen Burnie, John Kehs and wife Lorrie of Severn, and James Kehs of Glen Burnie; his aunts; Mickey Gibson of Jacksonville, FL, Franny Weyforth of Abingdon, Barbara Horanoff of Fallston and Mary Lee Lake of Glen Burnie; uncles, Kevin Gibson of Thailand, Brian Gibson of Fallston and Phillip Grundman of Harve de Grace; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Eric was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Claire Delores and Thomas R. Gibson, an aunt Gina Gibson and his paternal grandparents, Marie and Robert W. Grundman.



The following was an excerpt from Eric's long standing will, and the family knew he would like to share:

I would like to take a moment to say a special and fond farewell to all that I have loved, you have given me more joy than I could have ever asked for, I could sit here typing for an eternity, but I think you all know... I'm a pretty lazy individual for all of that. I love you all, and I hope all the best for you, and your loved ones, in all of your efforts and triumphs. My only hope, is that we will meet again, someday in the future, to talk about all the things I will have missed.

To all those, that have endured my existence for so long..... Thank you!

Services: Family and friends will be received beginning at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 2429 Laurel Brook Road, Fallston, MD, 21740 to celebrate the life that Eric lived. Anyone musically inclined are asked to bring their instruments and join in the celebration and be part of the band.
