John Edward Kawecki

Mr. John Edward Kawecki, 85, of Frederick, MD, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Homewood at Crumland Farms. He was the husband of the late Annastasia Dans Kawecki.

Born April 26, 1923 in New Britain, CT he was the son of the late John and Alexandra Kawecki.

Mr. Kawecki was a member of St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Community and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Kawecki graduated from Massachussetts Institute of Technology in 1948 with a degree in Mechanical engineering. He later obtained a Masters in Business Administration from Case Western Reserve. John was an engineer at Stromberg-Carlson/General Dynamics in Rochester, NY, and at North American Phillips in Manlius, NY John served his country in the U.S. Army, as an MP in the European Campaign. He enjoyed financial planning, gardening and reading.

He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Kawecki and husband Thomas Wright of Monrovia, and Maryann Waxtel and husband David of Westfield, N J, grandchildren Elizabeth Kawecki- Wright, Andrew Waxtel, Samuel Waxtel and Katherine Waxtel, a brother Bernard Kawecki of CT, an aunt, Ann Sienko of CT, and a brother-in-law, Anthony Dans of Ohio and their families. He will also be remembered by his friends and caregivers, Brian Ross, Gibriel and Sainabou Jagne, Karla Bason, Felica Olatunji and Angie Tetteh.

Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, August 25, at 1:00 p.m., from St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Community, 4103 Prices Distillery Rd, Ijamsville, MD with Father Michael Jendrek Officiating. Interment St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Frederick
