John Stepp, III

March 3, 1965 — December 25, 2012

Mr. John Wellington Stepp, III, 47, of Walkersville died peacefully on December 25, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. He valiantly fought a 4- 1/2 year battle with brain cancer. He was the husband of 21 years to Sangita Stepp.

Born March 3, 1965 in Washington, DC, he was the son of Peter Anatole and Gloria J. Stepp of Middletown.

John met his wife while they were both students at University of Maryland at College Park studying computer science. He received his degree in Computer and Mathematical Sciences. He was a software engineer and owner of Micro Integration for the past 13 years.  He was a devoted father and family man. Often he coached his children's soccer teams through the Glade Valley Athletic Association, as well as assisting his wife with home schooling their four children.

He was a deacon at his church, Fredericktowne Baptist Church, and he was a devoted, faithful follower of the Lord. He was a selfless person who gave of his time and energy to his loving church family. John knew the importance of helping others and giving of himself to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his loving children, Priya, Alayna, Joella and Trevor; three siblings, Elizabeth Spear, Peter Stepp, Jr., and Melissa Fink; his in-laws, Karan and Prema Bapna; two sisters-in-law, Kalpna Srimal and Kavita Bansal; and five nephews who were close to his heart.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

A celebration of John's life will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 29 at Fredericktowne Baptist Church, 8645 Biggs Ford Road, Walkersville., with Pastor Todd Heishman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the John Stepp Memorial Fund, (a college account for his children) payable to any Capital One Bank.
