John Rippeon, Jr.

June 2, 1951 — December 16, 2011

Mr. John William Rippeon, Jr., 60, of Frederick, died, on Friday December 16, 2011 at his residence. He was the husband for 40 years to Sally Elizabeth Whitbeck Rippeon who he married on April 17, 1971.

Born on June 2, 1951 in Frederick, He was the son of the late John W. Rippeon Sr., and Mary Louise Esworthy Rippeon.

John attended Frederick High School. In 2009 he retired from R & K Tree Service where he was the owner. He attended Locust Grove Church of the Brethren. John enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his three sons, John Nelson Rippeon and wife Amy of Frederick, Paul Allen Rippeon and wife Sherry of Frederick and Jeff Adam Rippeon and wife Kelly of New Market. Five grandchildren, Nicole Heathery, Travis Murphy, Tyler Murphy, Kelly Rippeon and Hunter Rippeon. Sisters, Donna Campbell and husband Jerry of Woodsboro, Kim Pyles and husband Rodney of Frederick and Sherry Rippeon of Frederick. Brother Galen Rippeon and wife Sandy of Frederick. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday December 20, from 6-9 p.m. at the Stauffer Funeral Home, P. A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday December 21. Pastor Wayne Hall will officiate.

Pallbearers are Richard Shaff, Donald Jenkins, Steve Yingling, George Thomas Rippeon Jr., Travis Murphy, and Tyler Murphy.

Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
