John Nolet

John A. Nolet, 58, died on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at his home in Woodbine, MD.

John was born in Regensburg, Germany on July 13, 1957 to Gerard and Elaine (Chenard) Nolet, long time residents of Longmeadow, MA.  He was a graduate of Longmeadow High School in 1975, University of Massachusetts in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and the University of Baltimore with his juris doctorate in 1990. He was both a certified public accountant and a member of the Maryland bar association.  He was employed by the Justice Department as a tax attorney but had previously been employed by the state of Maryland as an auditor for the General Assembly.

John is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Jerri (Shelley) Nolet; a son, Corey Nolet, a daughter-in-law, Jess Nolet, and grandsons Logan (6 years old) and Holden (2 years old); and two step-daughters, Jessica and Andrea Zirpoli of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by his parents, Jerry and Elaine Nolet, of Longmeadow, MA and two brothers, Michael Nolet, of Baltimore, MD, and Stephen and, his wife, Barbara Nolet of Harpswell, ME.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Boulevard in Mt. Airy, MD.

Services and burial will be held in Longmeadow, Massachusetts with the Forastiere Family Funeral & Cremation handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in John’s memory.
