Mr. John L Kausch , 98, of Mt. Airy, passed from this life on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at Lorien Life Center, Mt. Airy. He was the husband of the late Virginia E Forster Kausch who died in 2001.
Born on March 6, 1916 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Dominic and Eva Klug Kausch. Living most of his life in Baltimore, John was Chief Metalurgic Inspector at Bethlehem Steel for more than 40 years. He was an avid card player and golfer, enjoyed fishing, was an accomplished builder and made stained glass.
Surviving are two daughters: Dolores Jones of California and Deborah Danielczyk and husband Edward of Mt. Airy; four grandchildren: Brian Jones and wife Sue, Susan Forte and husband Joe all of California, Stacey Danielczyk of Baltimore and Erin Basford and husband Joseph of Adamstown as well as six great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM on Sunday, August 10, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 12, at Our lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 6400 Pratt St., Baltimore. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Dundalk.
