John Howard

John Michael (Mike) Howard, 74, of Frederick, died on August 3, 2011 at Kline Hospice House in Mt. Airy due to complications from Dementia with Lewy Bodies.

Born February 14, 1937, in Washington, DC, Mike was a second generation Washingtonian.   A physics major from George Washington University, Mike worked as a computer analyst for many years at Sperry Univac, later known as Burroughs.   He was a regular bridge and canasta player at the senior center in Frederick and enjoyed duckpin bowling.

Mike is survived by his wife of 31 years, Linda Curry Howard, and two daughters, Rebecca (Peter) Whitmore and Cynthia Ferretti, along with three grandchildren, Ethan and Kyla Whitmore and Rose Kelly.

There will be no funeral service.
