John Hall, Sr.

John Richard Hall, Sr., 68, of Walkersville, Maryland, passed from this life on Friday, January 17, 2020 at his residence after battling Parkinson's Disease for a number of years. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Hall, his wife of 48 years.

Born on December 13, 1951, in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late William Gardner Hall and Anne Griest Hall. He was a graduate of Gaithersburg High School and lived most of his life in Montgomery and Frederick Counties. John had a passion for cars spending most of his career in the automotive industry as an automobile mechanic. He was most proud of his work supporting multiple Montgomery and Frederick County First Responder Fire Units. In his spare time, John enjoyed fishing.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children: John Richard Hall, Jr of Walkersville, Jenny Hall of Frederick and Michael Hall of Walkersville; four grandchildren: Kaleigh, Nicholas, William and Nathan; and one great grandson, Dominic; a sister, Elizabeth Wright of Frederick and a brother, James Hall of Darnestown. John was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Hall who tragically passed away in 2003.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick where a celebration of John's life will begin at 11:00 am, the Rev. Tim May will officiate. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park in Rockville.
