John Deason

Mr. John Edward Deason, 90, of Frederick died peacefully Monday, May 16, 2016 at his home. He was the husband of the late Alice Mae (Ward) Deason for over 44 years until her death in 1995.
Born January 12, 1926 in Conecuh County, Alabama, he was the son of the late John Henry and Laura (Brown) Deason.
He was the beloved father of Judy L. Deason and Joy A. Herman, and husband, Joel D.; grandfather of Jared Herman and wife, Abbey; Jennifer Herman, and Jillian Herman; and great-grandfather of Beckett, Samuel and Eiyla Herman.
John was a retired Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy. He retired after over 20 years of dedicated service to his country.
John's greatest pleasure was spending time with his family. He will be remembered fondly by his many friends and the staff at Homewood.
A Celebration of Life service will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the chapel of Homewood at Crumland Farms, 7407 Willow Road, Frederick. Officiating will be Pastor Suzanne Morris.
A private interment will be held for the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Homewood Benevolent Memorial Fund.
