John Code, Jr.
November 11, 1932 — July 22, 2018
John Nicholas Code, Jr., 85, of Thurmont, MD passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 22, 2018 with family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Anne Code.
Born November 11, 1932 in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late John N. and Catherine (Bridgwood) Code.
John proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp from 1951 - 1954. He was a faithful Catholic who enjoyed attending mass with his family at St. Timothy's Parish in Walkersville. In addition to spending time with his family, Mr. Code was a huge sports fan. He often had "the game" on television, especially if it was the Baltimore Orioles. John was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his children Kathy June-Code of Germantown, MD and William Code of Austin, TX; grandchildren John Code, IV and wife Erin, Chris Code, Joseph Code and wife Lacee, Caryn Code, Dawn Code, Kristina Code and husband Jose Marroquin and Colby Rood; great-grandchildren Anna and John "Jay" Code, V. and Machell Code.
He was preceded in death by his son John N. Code, III.
The family will receive friends at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Rd., Walkersville, MD, on Thursday, July, 26, 2018, from 10:30-11AM where a Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 am.
Interment will be private.
