John N. Code, III, 62, of Falling Waters, West Virginia, passed from this life on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at his home.
Born on January 9, 1955, in Queens, New York, he was the son of John N. Code, Jr. of Frederick and formerly of Gaithersburg and the late Anne Marie (O'Sullivan) Code.
John grew up in Saratoga Springs, NY where he attended St. Clements Catholic School. He also lived in Smyrna, GA; Gaithersburg, MD; Brunswick MD; Frederick, MD; Berkeley Springs, WV and finally Falling Waters, WV.
John's mechanical ability was evident in a broad variety of occupational endeavors. John was a fire protection equipment technician, a small business owner of a building maintenance company and an appliance repair and sales company. John also was a certified office equipment technician and an industrial PVC pipe fabricator.
John loved baseball, motorcycles, playing guitar, tinkering in his tool shed, and spending time with his family. John was a former member of the United States Marine Corp.
In addition to his father, John N. Code, Jr., he is survived by son, John N. Code IV and wife Erin, son, Christopher J. Code, son, Joseph J. Code and wife Lacee, daughter, Caryn A. Code, daughter, Dawn R. Code, sister, Kathleen A. June-Code, brother, William F. Code, niece, Kristina Code and husband Jose Marroquin, nephew, Colby Rood, grandchildren, Machell Code, Anna Code, and John (Jay) Code V, and Former Spouse, Kathryn E. Code.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Interment will be held at 12:15 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery, 4849 Kearneysville Pike, Shepherdstown, West Virginia, with Rev. Richard Murphy officiating.
