John L. Bradshaw

John L. Bradshaw, 83, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital in Gettysburg, PA. He was the beloved husband of the late Kathryn (Martin) Bradshaw. 

Born on August 12, 1941, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Maurice Emory and Mazie (Dove) Bradshaw. 

Over the years John enjoyed working with his hands. He was an avid gardener, fisherman and worked carpentry all his life. His love of gardening won him many awards from the local Community Show.

He is survived by his children Brenda Toms (Frankie), Wanda Taylor, Michael Bradshaw (Becky) and Laurie Baker (Chip), 11 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren. Also survived by his 3 brothers Robert, Larry, and Billy, 2 sisters, Joan and Polly, and sister-in-law Dottie, and his good friend Sonny.

He was preceded in death by his 4 brothers, Harry, Jimmy, Maurice and Charles, Sister Dorothy and son-in-law Wallace. 

The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Thurmont), 104 East Main Street in Thurmont, MD.

A celebration of John's life journey will take place at 1 pm on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Stauffer Funeral Home, Thurmont. Interment will be at Blue Ridge Cemetery.
