John P. Andrews, 66, of New Market, Maryland, died on Wednesday evening, May 8, 2019 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in the company of his family.
John was born September 3, 1952 in Washington, DC, an only child to Eugene and Rita Andrews.
John had an innocent, considerate character, who was jovial with friends and strangers alike, incapable of harm or anger, and abundantly loving towards family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis Andrews; son Thomas, daughter-in-law Nikki, their child, Christopher Thomas; and by his twin sons, James and Michael.
He worked behind the wheel his whole life, first as a courier in and around Washington, DC, then as a carrier for various posts in Frederick, Maryland. John was a fan of all the popular sports but especially of football and his home team the Redskins. He and his wife met as rivals playing darts in the Washington Area Dart Association, but later became partners in the Western Maryland Dart Association, as well as in life. John also enjoyed all television and film, as well as classic rock and blues music; Hendrix was his favorite.
The family will be receiving friends from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike Frederick, Maryland.
