Mr. Joe G. Peplinski, 27, of Ellicott City, formerly of Monrovia, died on Thursday February 11, 2010 at Howard County General Hospital, Columbia. He was the Fiance of Amy Dwyer.
Born on November 6, 1982 in Silver Spring, he was the son of Richard Edward and Mary Ann Henderson Peplinski.
Joey was a graduate of Urbana High School and was currently attending U.M.B.C. working towards his degree in Computer Science and was only three classes away from obtaining his degree. He served in the U. S. Army from 2003 to 2005 in Kuwait. Joe and his fiance Amy were planning for a beautiful June 2011 wedding. During his illness, Joe remained optimistic and kept a sense of humor at all times, he always enjoyed having a good time any time he could. He had many plans for his future. He will be remembered by all the doctors and staff at National Institutes of Health that helped him during his courageous fight against cancer. He will also be remembered by his many friends.
Surviving in addition to his parents and fiance is a brother Stephen Edward Peplinski and his wife Marianna of Germantown. Maternal grandfather Gordon Henderson of Frederick and Uncle Scott and Aunt Monica Henderson of Centreville, VA and cousins Kelly and Ashly Henderson of Newport, RI. Although Joe and Amy had not yet married, Amy's parents Dan and Cindy Dwyer of Hagerstown, MD had already made Joe a member of their family.
Visitation: The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 17, from 7-9pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville, Blvd. Mt. Airy, MD.
Services: Interment will be private in Baltimore National Cemetery, Baltimore.
