Joe E. Geouge, 80 of Frederick, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Mary L. Geouge. They were married on October 28, 1950.

Born June 14, 1927 in Bandana, North Carolina he was the son of the late, Nathan and Carrie Geouge.

Joe was a member of the US Army.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a heavy equipment construction worker and he retired from RF Kline.

In addition to his loving wife, Mary he is survived by his five sons, Joe E. Geouge of Frederick, MD, Robert C. Geouge and wife Mary of Thurmont, MD, Kevin W. Geouge and wife Angie of Adamstown, MD, Keith Gouge and wife Carolyn of Martinsburg, WV and Brent A. Geouge of Rocky Ridge, MD, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, four sisters, Marilyn Parsons, Gloria Stewart, M. Francis Creson, Naomia Hensley, a half sister, Vesitina Buchanon and a brother-in-law, Luther Canipe all of North Carolina ad numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, and four half sisters.



Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, August 10 from 7:00-9:00 PM. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to funeral services at the Brook Hill Church.

Services: The family will also receive friends one hour prior to funeral services that begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at the Brook Hill United Methodist Church, 8946 Indian Springs Road, Frederick with Rev. Linda Warehime officiating.
Interment will be in Brook Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Brook Hill United Methodist Church, 8946 Indian Springs Road, Frederick, MD.
