Joe Ann Wood

Mrs. Joe Ann Wood, 75 of Clarksburg, MD., died Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Golden Living of Frederick, She was the wife of the late Lewis F. Wood.
Born December 25, 1931 in Hyattstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Sterling and Dora E. Nicholson Miles.
Mrs. Wood was a life long member of the Hyattstown United Methodist Church where she was treasurer for 57+ years. She retired after 38 years as a secretary for Urbana Elementary School.
She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Moore and husband Edward of Knoxville, four grandchildren Abbey, Samantha, Kelsey and Zachary Moore and a sister Doris Cooley and husband George of Clarksburg, devoted sister-in-law Virginia Mae Greene and special friends Elizabeth Ward and Barbara Quick.
She was preceded in death by two brothers Harold and Kenneth Miles.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday October 12, 2007, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.
Services: Services will be held Saturday, October 13, at 11:00 a.m. from the Brook Hill United Methodist Church, 8946 Indian Springs Road, Yellow Springs, MD, with Rev. Linda Warehime officiating. Interment Hyattstown Methodist Church Cemetery.
