Joan Marie Pezenosky, 95, of Walkersville, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Glade Valley.

Born on February 28, 1929, in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Marie Sullivan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Stanley Pezenosky, and her sister, Dorothy Seabolt.

Joan graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She dedicated much of her career to helping others, working as a Guidance Secretary at Walkersville Middle School until 1991. She then served as the Front Desk Receptionist at Heart Fields Assisted Living in Frederick, MD, until her retirement in 2010.

A long-time member and volunteer at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Joan was deeply committed to her faith and community. Joan had a passion for life and a profound love for her family. She treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and found great joy in cheering them on from the sidelines, whether on the basketball court or at the track, offering unwavering support and encouragement.

She is survived by her son, David Daniel Pezenosky, and her granddaughters Caitlyn Pezenosky, Emily Pezenosky, and Megan Pezenosky and her grandson Ian Pezenosky. A celebration of Joan's life will be held at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church on March 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
