Mrs. Joan Mary Mullen, 78, formerly of Frederick and Hagerstown, died Saturday, September 1, 2012 in Gaylord, Michigan. She was the wife of the late Raymond J. Mullen, who predeceased her in 1996.
Born April 29, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Mae Dehler.
She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by five children, Robert Mullen and wife, Zenida, of Ft. Myers, Fla.; Douglas Mullen and wife, Elisa, of Frederick; Regina Brooks of Atlanta, GA; Ann O'Rourke and husband, Patrick, of Gaylord, MI; and Kevin Mullen and wife, Laeuna Lowe, of Hagerstown; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Gilbert Dehler of Boston, MA; and a sister, Carol Sullivan and husband, Ronald, of Plant City, Fla.
She was predeceased by a brother, Kevin Dehler.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Officiating will be the Rev. Todd Rigney from International Community Church of God.
Interment will be private at Garrison Forest Veteran's Cemetery at a later date.
