Joan Pauline (Siler) McCauley, 78, of Boonsboro, Maryland passed away on December 4, 2015 at the Western Maryland Health System in Cumberland, Maryland.
Born in Martinsburg, West Virginia on August 15, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ida (Butler) Siler.
She was a graduate of 1956 from Williamsport, Maryland.
Joan worked at London Fog in Boonsboro. She retired from W.D. Byron Tannery in Williamsport.
She was of the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Bakersville Lutheran Church.
She was a member of the Western Maryland Sportsman Club and the Pocahontas of Williamsport.
Joan is survived by her son, Paul Edward McCauley and his wife Teresa of Keedysville, Maryland; her granddaughter Brittany McCauley; her sisters, Anna Barrett and her husband Granville and her twin sister, Jean McDonald; her brothers George Siler and his wife Pat, Bill Siler and his wife Betty and Raymond Siler and his wife Nancy; she is also survived by her boyfriend of 22 years, Mark Haines.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2015 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home in Boonsboro, Maryland. The Rev. Darrell L. Layman will be officiating. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown, Maryland.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the funeral home.
