Joan Marie Cunningham Mankins, 64, of Charlottesville, VA and formerly of Boonsboro, MD, died Friday, June 22, 2007 at her home in Charlottesville.
Born September 3, 1942 in Franklin County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Luther Irvin and Madeline May Ausherman Cunningham. She was also preceded in death by her step mother, Jane E. Cunningham.
She was a graduate of Boonsboro High School.
She was a homemaker and for three years was employed by Charlottesville High School in food service.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Daniel R. Mankins of Charlottesville; two daughters, Georgia L. Toney of Spotsylvania, VA and Caroline M. Mankins of Charlottesville; one sister, Gloria L. Shatzer of Hagerstown; one brother, Lester I. Cunningham of Waynesboro, PA; one step brother, Gary McAllister of Flagstaff, Arizona; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 27 at Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro. The Rev. R. Thomas Fralin, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
