Mrs. Joan Kapeluch-Parker, 65, of Walkersville, MD., died Sunday, May 17, 2009 at her home. She was the wife of Russ Parker her husband of 19 years.
Born September 8, 1943 in Pearl River, NY, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret Hagerty Entwistle.
Joan was a very independent person who enjoyed crafts and gardening. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was always there for her family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister. Joan retired from Safeway, after 25 + years of service, as a deli manager.
In addition to her husband she is survived by five children Linda Renz, Cindy White both of NY, Teresa White of VA, David White of NY and Thomas Kapeluch and fiance Lisa Horton of Walkersville, four grandchildren Collin Kapeluch, Paige Kapeluch, Brandon Kapeluch and Michael Renz., four brothers and sisters Robert Entwistle and wife Maureen, Patricia Altomare , Carol Byrne and husband Richard and Alice Meister and husband Raymond.
She was preceded in death by her sisters and brother Ann Kapral, Nancy Entwistle and James Entwistle and her brother-in-law Marcus Altomare.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends from 7 - 9:00 p.m. at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville, MD on Tuesday, May 19.
Services: Interment will be private.
