Jessica Nave

Jessica Leigh Nave, 33, of Keedysville, Maryland, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 25, 2013.

Born on April 8, 1980 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she is the daughter of Diana L. (Gatrell) Nave and partner Mike Habel of Keedysville, and Jerry L. Nave and wife JoAnne of Hagerstown.

Jessica was a 1999 graduate from Boonsboro High School and also graduated from the Hagerstown Business College.

She was employed with the Internal Revenue Service in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Jessica was a loving daughter and mother who cherished her time with her daughter and also dearly loved her faithful puppies, Oreo and Paris.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Mackenzie Lynn Ward; her companion, Kenneth T. Ward of Hagerstown; her maternal grandmother, Doris J. Gatrell of Sharpsburg, Maryland; two brothers, Matthew L. Nave and fiancé Colleen McCaughey, of Frederick, Maryland and Kris Lescalleet of Clear Spring, Maryland; and her aunts and uncles, Brenda Edwards and Linda Burker, John and Cindy Pennesi, Annie Pennesi, and Linda and Curt Kunkle.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Buck Gatrell; and her paternal grandparents, Charles and Reba Nave.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.  Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Sharpsburg.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2013 at the funeral home.

The family requests memorial donations be made for the future educational benefit of Jessica's daughter, Mackenzie.  Donations can be made payable to Jerry Nave and mailed to his attention at 310 Beaver Creek Road, Hagerstown, Maryland, 21740.
