Jerry Kephart

Mr. Jerry Thurston Kephart Sr., 80 of Frederick, Maryland passed away March 30, 2020.
Born on May 17, 1939 in Boonsboro, MD he was the son of the late Elmer Kephart and Ethel Keadle Kephart.
Jerry graduated from Maryland School for the Deaf in 1959. He married Judith Hewitt on June 17, 1965 in Frederick, MD. He worked for 28 years at Meadows Van & Storage moving company before he retired. He was still working part time at Top Quality & FMI cleaning companies as he enjoyed staying active. Jerry remained active in the deaf community, organizing different events and being on the board for IAD.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife Judith, his daughter, Judy O’Brien and husband Danny, son, Jerry Kephart Jr. and wife Emily, daughter, Jackie Kephart and son, Jay Kephart and wife Susie. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Jane Albert and his grandchildren, Whitney Jackson, Charlie Huse Jr., Michael Huse, Jasmine Huse, Sara Kephart, Dalton Kephart, Hunter McGrory, Payton Kephart and Paige Kephart, great grandchildren, Nina Jackson and Frankie Windsor III. He will also be remembered by his numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings Roland, Hammond, Beverly, Wayne, Virgil and Oneida.
A service celebrating Jerry’s life will be held at a later date.
