Jennifer Jo Kokoskie

Jennifer (Myers) Kokoskie of York, PA passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, January 28, 
2023, at Albert Einstein Transplant Center in Philadelphia PA after a brief illness. 
 
Born January 4, 1971, in Altoona PA, the daughter of Doris (Newkirk) Mitchell and stepfather Robert “Mitch” Mitchell. On May 10,1996, she married Tony Kokoskie, formerly of Houtzdale PA; the son of Larry and Carol Kokoskie. They later settled in Frederick MD among loving friends and family. More recently, the couple made their home in York, PA. 

Jennifer and Tony raised two beautiful children. She was a loving mother and fierce protector of her children and family. “Always Stay Humble and Kind” was a mantra that she lived by. 

She is survived by her husband Tony and her children Natalie and Adam Kokoskie, all of York, PA; her mother Doris, of Altoona, pa; her sister, Debbie (Myers) Styer of Inwood WV; her brother, Rick Myers (Katie) of Ashburn VA; her aunt and uncle, Nancy and Jim Swander and cousin, Eric, of Altoona PA; aunt Barbara Christoff and cousin Pat Christoff as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her stepfather Robert "Mitch" Mitchell. 

Friends and family will be received from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday February 6, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 7, at St Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 8428 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick MD, presided by Father Keith Boisvert. 
A private family gravesite ceremony will take place at a later date.
