Jena Anderson

Jena Anderson, 46, of Mount Airy, Maryland, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC.

Born on April 16, 1977, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Eugene Anderson and Jacqueline (Call) Anderson.

Jena's academic journey led her to study Accounting, earning her degree from Messiah College (now Messiah University) in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania in 1999. She dedicated her career and was a valued employee in the retirement divisions of T. Rowe Price and FIS.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Jena found immense joy in her role as a devoted aunt to her nine nieces and nephews. Her love and attention shaped their lives, leaving behind beautiful memories that will be cherished forever.

Her reserved demeanor blossomed into a quiet strength while battling her illness. Her resilience in the face of adversity served as a beacon of hope and courage.

She is survived by her loving parents Eugene and Jacqueline Anderson, brothers Brandon Anderson and Darryl (Evie) Anderson, and sister Kristina (Mark) Apgar.

Services are private at the request of the family. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jena's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
