Jeanne Thomas

Jeanne D. Thomas, a loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 14, 2018, at her residence in Mt. Airy. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert A. Thomas.
Born on July 4, 1927, in Camden, New Jersey, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Edward and Erma Duffield. Jeanne grew up in New Jersey and Indiana. She attended the University of Indiana in Bloomington. After college she moved to Alexandria, Virginia where she met and married Bob Thomas. They had a wonderful life together living in Madrid, Spain, San Diego, California and San Francisco, California before eventually returning to Alexandria. Jeanne was previously active in the AOII Sorority and in the Potomac Harmony Chapter of Sweet Adelines. After her husband's death in 2001, she relocated to Mt. Airy to reside with her daughter's family.
Jeanne is survived by her loving daughter, Brenda Logan and son-in-law Sean Logan; grandsons: Kyle and Eric Logan; and her "adopted grandson" Zach Trout. She was preceded in death by her brother Ed Duffield of Pahrump, Nevada. Her bright smile and sunny disposition will be dearly missed.
