Mrs. Jeanne Lorraine (Cook) Severn, 92, of Mount Airy, MD passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the Lorien Nursing and Rehab in Mt. Airy, MD. Born July 21, 1921 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Eleanor B. Otterbach and Harman A. Cook. Her husband of 29 years, Mr. William L. Severn preceded her in death in 1977. She is survived by three sons, John (Jack) A.
and wife Janet, Thomas M. and wife Lynne, & W. Kenneth; Grandchildren January, Anita, Shannon, Jeff, Jeremy, Sarah, Aaron and Alyssa; and 9 Great-Grandchildren. She is also survived by sister, Audrey Hicks of Harwood, MD & brother, Richard Cook of Hollywood, MD. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by brothers Jack and Robert Cook. Jeanne was an avid bingo, scrabble and poker player. She also loved to bowl, watch baseball and eat hardshell crabs. A Memorial Service to celebrate Jeanne’s life will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014, 11AM, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702.
