Jean Martha Steed , 80, of Monrovia, Maryland, passed from this life on Friday, August 16, 2019.
Born on February 12, 1939, in Cheyenne, WY, she was the daughter of the late Henry Roybal and Elinor Delmon Roybal.
She was the loving wife of Lester V. Steed, who passed away August 9, 2000.
She retired from the State Department of Assessments and Taxation where she worked for 17 years.
She is survived by her children, Clifton C. Steed and wife, Georgia of Baltimore, Melissa M. Steed of New Market, Michael P. Steed and wife Tammy of New Market, Charles R. Steed and companion, Shelley of Union Bridge, She is also survived by grandchildren, Brian Wilhelm, Justin Steed, Ashley Jeffries, Taylor Steed, Kyle Steed, Kayla Steed, Donnie Pugh, Jr., Jessica Steed and Gabrielle Steed; great grandchildren, Adrian Steed, Matthew Jeffries, Jr., Cameron Steed, Owen Jeffries, and Kaylee Jeffries; sisters, Anna Cruz, Penny Munoz and Sherry Rex all of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, August, 25, 2019. at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd., Mount Airy, MD 21771.
A celebration of Jean's life journey will take place at the funeral home on Monday, August 26, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Tim May will officiate. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Maryland Diabetes Association.
