Jayne Ciorra

Mrs. Jayne Ann Ciorra, 54, of Frederick died Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the loving wife of Robert A. Ciorra, Jr. They were married for 33 years.

Born June 3, 1960 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of Carol Rice McClarnon Troy of Pittsburgh and the late James McClarnon.

She loved baking, cooking and watching the Food Network channel. Jayne worked for many years as a dental hygienist for Dr. T.G. Hutton in Frederick. An avid nature lover, her fondest memories were times spent with her dogs, Bandit and Scruffy.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her son, Michael A. Ciorra; a brother, James McClarnon and wife, Denise; step-father, William Troy; mother-in-law, Gloria Ciorra; brothers and sisters-in-law, Debra and Donald Reedy, and Kathy and Robert Nowinski; nieces and nephews, JT, Dustin, Robert, Morgan and Jordan; two aunts, Carole Kirby and Nancy Staud; and a step-sister, Kelly Woods, and step-brother, William Troy, and their families.

She was predeceased by her father, James McClarnon; father-in-law, Robert A. Ciorra, Sr., and her two very special grandmothers, Nunny McClarnon and Grandma Rice.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where services will begin at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20 from the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
