Mr. Jason Wayne Trott, Sr., 37 of Walkersville, MD., passed away, after a brief illness with cancer, Sunday, September 18, 2011 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Tina Staub Trott, his high school sweetheart of 21 years.
Born January 13, 1974 in Bethesda, MD., he was the son of Lewis E. Trott and his wife Janet of Keymar and Lorraine Spangenburg Thompson of NC.
Jason was a graduate of Walkersville High School, class of 1992. He was employed at Laurel Sand and Gravel of 19 years as a heavy equipment operator. Jason was an honorary life member of the Sons of the American Legion Squadron #282, Woodsboro where he was past commander for many years. His passion in life was spending time with his family, but most of all, watching his son grow and succeed in many sports activities. Jason was an avid Redskin and Maryland Terrapin Fan.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his son Jason Trott, Jr of Walkersville, his sisters Stacy Chillcott and husband James of NC, Denise Gustafson and husband Darin of Columbia, MD, a step-brother Michael Duffy of Keymar, a special great niece Chloe Shultz, his maternal grandmother Ruth Spangenburg of VA, and his father and mother-in-law John and Connie Staub of Thurmont. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He will also be remembered by a special friend Gary Smith. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Wayne Spangenburg and paternal grandparents Lewis, Sr. and Alice Trott.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Wednesday, September 21, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A service by the Sons of the American Legion will be held at 7:30 pm Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, at 11:00 am from the Church of the Nazarene, 7899 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick with Pastor Randy Gilliam officiating.
Interment Glade Cemetery.
