Janis Victoria (Stull) Marshall

Janis Victoria (Stull) Marshall, 94, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, March 10, 2025 at the Kline Hospice house in Mt. Airy. She was the beloved wife of the late Jesse R. Marshall, Jr. for over 49 years.

Born on August 20, 1930, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Paul W. and Catharine I. (Hamrick) Stull. She was preceded in death by her siblings, James Victor Stull, Shirley Hoffman, Paul (Delbert) Stull and Nancy Rippeon.

Janis was a Quality Control Inspector for American Optical, Frederick, MD. She was also an Avon Sales Representative for 47 years. In her younger years she was an avid duckpin bowler. Janis enjoyed country music, was an avid NY Yankees fan, and enjoyed decorating her home for the holidays.

She is survived by three children, James R. Marshall (Cathie), Alma E. Kemp (Arna) and Anita M. Brown (Scott); grandchildren, Teresa Kilby (Todd), Arna Kemp, Jr., Morgan Brown and Matthew Wallach. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 am on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Thurmont), 104 East Main Street in Thurmont, MD where a celebration of Janis's life journey will take place at 11 am. Rev. Warren A. Rice will officiate. Interment will be at Utica Cemetery in Utica, MD.
