Janice R. (Moser) Irving

Janice R. (Moser) Irving, 82, of Boonsboro, Maryland, died on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at the Washington County Hospital.


Born on February 11, 1927, in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Kieffer M. and Armatha A. (Ford) Moser.


Mrs. Irving's husband of 62 years, Gerald K. Irving, preceded her in death on March 22, 2007.


Janice was a member of Beaver Creek Christian Church.  She was known for her fresh produce at the family roadside stand in Mapleville.


She is survived by one son, Robert W. Irving Sr. and wife Susan of Boonsboro, Maryland; one daughter, Teresa A. Myers also of Boonsboro; one sister, Betty Kendle of Mapleville, Maryland; three grandchildren, Robert W. Irving, Jr. and his wife Angel of Clear Spring, Maryland, Kristy S. Irving of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, and Justin M. Irving of Boonsboro; and four great-grandchildren, Trent and Troy Irving, Tristan Hartle and Bailee Martin-Irving.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.


In addition to her husband, Janice was preceded in death by her two brothers, Archie and Kieffer Moser, Jr.


Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2009 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland.  The Rev. J. Mark Curran will officiate.  Burial will be in the Beaver Creek Cemetery, Hagerstown, Maryland.


Friends are invited to visit at the funeral home beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2009 where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M.
