Janice Wright

Janice Roxanne (Clabaugh) Wright, 58, of Rocky Ridge, Maryland, passed away after a valiant struggle against cancer on Friday, March 24th, 2017. She was born on April 3rd, 1958 in Keymar, Maryland to E. Louise (Strine) Clabaugh and the late Stanley L. Clabaugh.

She was a graduate of Walkersville High School and the University of Maryland, College Park. Janice was also a 37-year employee of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where she worked as a Dairy Scientist.

Janice will best be remembered as a life-long lover of animals and proudly raised award-winning sheep, as well as goats and cats.

She is survived, missed, and loved very much by her two daughters, Jaime and Kelly; as well as her mother, Louise, of New Oxford, PA; her father-in-law, Horace Wright, of Walkersville, MD; sister, Arlene Dehoff and husband, Clair, of East Berlin, PA; brother, Marvin Clabaugh and wife, Myrtle (Smith), of Keymar, MD; sister, Sandra Clabaugh, of Hagerstown, MD; as well numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A celebration of Janice's life will take place at the Stauffer Funeral Home at 104 East Main St. in Thurmont, MD, on April 1st, 2017, at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janice's name to the Maryland Agricultural Education Foundation, Inc.
