REMEMBERING JANICE FORMAN
Laugh and the world laughs with you. This is how Janice lived her life. There was nothing she enjoyed more than laughing with friends and family. Her joy of life was felt by everyone she encountered. She always had a smile and a kind word and a joke.
She was born and lived in Brooklyn, NY until 1969. She worked at Citibank in Manhattan until her career became motherhood. She always considered herself a New Yorker and visited often after she moved. Most of her time in Maryland was in Gaithersburg where she worked at Hecht’s Lakeforest Mall.
The pride of her life was her children and grandchildren. She spend lots of quality time in Ellicott City with her son David, daughter in law Chris, her grandson Brian and her granddaughter Carolyn. She was the #1 fan at her grandchildren’s sporting events and school activities. She took frequent trips to Dallas, Texas to visit her daughter Michele and her son in law Blake. She had many Texas friends that filled her social calendar every day she was there.
She was proud of her Jewish heritage. She created family traditions and good cooking passed down from her mother. She even taught her friends a few Yiddish words and got them to try chopped liver.
She loved to travel and often took trips near and far with family and friends. Visits to Florida, Chattanooga, New York, Rehoboth Beach, and even Gettysburg were some of her favorites.
She was an avid reader. She loved music, movies and musical theater. She always had a cheerful smile for her neighbors in Bennington. She enjoyed social activities with her friends and staff at Ingleside.
She touched many lives in a wonderful way and will be missed but she will live on in our cherished memories.
