Janet C. Papini

Janet C. Papini, 65, of Frederick MD, formerly of Southbury and Bridgeport CT., died on October 17, 2009 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Sept. 6, 1944 at St. Vincents Hospital in Bridgeport, CT. She graduated from Central High School with the class of 1963. She attended business school in Bridgeport. Jan spent her life's work at the Southbury Training School for the physically and mentally disabled.
She retired in 1999 but continued working part time as a pharmacy technician at the Southbury Pharmacy. She moved to Frederick, MD in 2002 to be near her immediate family, where she continued to work part time as a pharmacy technician at the Walkersville, Pharmacy until her recent illness.
Mrs. Papini was an active member of St.Katharine Drexel Catholic Church on Opossumtown Pike where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.
She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas A Papini and her parents, Leroy and Mae (Kennedy) Campana of Bridgeport, CT. She is survived by a sister Cathryn A. Landry and her husband, Robert J. Landry of Frederick, MD and by nephews Robert A. Landry and wife Patricia of Frederick, MD, Kenneth A Landry and wife Elizabeth of Jefferson, MD, and niece, Michele (Landry) Hinkle and husband Douglas of New Market, MD.
She is also survived by Grandniece Kelsie , and Grandnephews; Christopher, Thomas, Andrew and many friends. Mrs. Papini enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed playing cards, eating at good restaurants, traveling, cruising, reading, solving crossword puzzles and working with her friends at the Pharmacy.

Services: Monsignior Leonard Hurley will officiate at a memorial funeral mass to celebrate her life at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, Oct.21 at St. Timothys Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Road, Walkersville, MD. Interment will take place in Southbury CT at a later date.
