Mrs. Janet M. Burdette. 66, of Keedysville, MD., passed away Friday, December 21, 2012 at Meritus Medical Center. She was the loving wife of John L. Burdette, Jr.
Born April 18, 1946 in Olney, MD, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Violet J. Souders Harding.
Mrs. Burdette was employed by Giant Food Company for many years. She loved spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren who were her pride and joy.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Kathy Pedersen and husband Jim, Angie Marker and husband Kevin and Chris Rau and wife Rose and one stepdaughter Stefani Koslowski and husband Don, grandchildren Mark and Madison Pedersen, James and Jacob Marker and Meridith Koslowski, siblings Carvel Harding, Kenneth Harding, Upton Harding, Patsy Hansen, Jacqulin Harding and Julie Blankenship and father and mother-in-law John L., Sr. and Jean Burdette. She was preceded in death by two brothers John and Robert Harding and two sisters Leta Joan Harding and Jean Graham.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, December 27, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm Funeral services will be held at Boyds Presbyterian Church, 19901 White Ground Road, Boyds, MD, Friday, December 28, at 11:00 am with Rev. Merritt W. Ednie officiating.
Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark Pedersen, Jim Pedersen, Kevin Marker, James Marker, James Burdette and Upton Harding.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to Boyds Presbyterian Church, 19901 White Ground Road, Boyds, MD 20841.
