Jane Ricciuti

Jane Sabatino Ricciuti, 45, of Frederick died on Monday November 12, 2012 at her home. She was the wife of Peter J. Ricciuti.

Born on May 23, 1967 in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of Dominic and Janet Chiaramondia Sabatino of Freehold, NJ.

Jane loved spending time with her family, going to the beach, walking in the park, hiking, and picnics. She also enjoyed crafting, sewing, and baking.

Volunteering in the community was an important part of Jane's life.  She gave her time to St. Katherine Drexel Church, volunteering in the nursery and teaching religious education.  She was also active with Girl Scouts, Celebrate Frederick and in the PTA at Yellow Springs Elementary and Monocacy Middle School.

A graduate of Albany College of Pharmacy, Jane received a Master of Administrative Science from The Johns Hopkins University. At Johns Hopkins Hospital she worked as an oncology pharmacist and later managed a surgical unit. Jane also worked as a pharmacist at Frederick Memorial Hospital and for the National Cancer Institute in Frederick. Jane shared her knowledge of pharmacy by speaking at community health fairs and school career days.

Jane wrote and edited articles for the Association for Health System Pharmacists, Medscape and Web MD. Jane joined Thomson Reuters where she was the executive editor of a pharmaceutical industry publication. She managed an international team of writers and was an excellent leader who always helped people reach their potential.

Also surviving are her children Lynne and David Ricciuti of Frederick. Brothers Dominic Sabatino Jr. and wife Susan of Newhall, CA and Steven Sabatino and wife Diane of Miami, Fl. Sister Susan Sabatino of New Jersey.

Visitation will be held on Thursday November 15, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am on Friday November 16, at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 116 East 2nd Street, Frederick. Interment will be private.
