Jane Menker

Jane Buza Menker, 60, of Marriottsville, Maryland, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Gilchrist Center in Columbia, Maryland after a five year long battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer.

Born on November 17, 1957, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Buza and Mary Buza Wahl.

Jane was a graduate of Walkersville High School and went on to receive her Masters of Nursing at the University of Maryland. From there she went on to work at Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore and Frederick Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She then went on to become a well respected professor at Frederick Community College in the nursing program where she was a mentor to many students.

She loved spending time on the beach at her home on Singer Island, Florida, watching her son play sports in school, and watching her daughter compete at horse shows all over the country.

She is survived by husband, David J. Menker; sisters, Kitty Buza Hyssong, Nancy Buza Herbert; brother, Eric Buza (deceased); son, David N. Menker; and daughter, Danielle Menker.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.
