Jane (Janie) Elizabeth Eyler

Jane (Janie) Elizabeth Eyler, 76, a native of Thurmont, MD and most recently a resident at Homewood at Crumland Farms, entered into heaven on January 2, 2024 at Frederick Health Hospital after an acute illness. 

She was born on August 20, 1947 to Helen Free Eyler and Gordon Eyler. 

Her proudest accomplishment was giving birth to her daughter, Jennifer, who gave her two wonderful grandsons. Janie loved to follow church services on TV when she could no longer attend her home church, Weller United Methodist. She also was an avid reader, shopper and collector of bears. 

Janie was preceded in death by her mother Helen, father Gordon, brother Jimmy, and daughter Jennifer Keown.

She leaves behind two loving grandsons, Tyler and Mason Keown of Missouri and her cousins Frank (Pat) Free, Bob (Linda) Free, Ron (Marie) Free, Joe Smith, John (Paula) Gills, Ed (Donna) Gills and Steve (Susie) Gills. 

A memorial service will be held at a future date. Memorial contributions may be made to Weller United Methodist Church 101 N Altamont Ave Thurmont MD 21788 or Homewood at Crumland Farms Nursing Home 7407 Willow Road Frederick, MD 21702. Homewood took excellent care of Janie over the last few years.
