Jan Grimes

Jan Alise Barber Grimes passed away quietly on January 29, 2024. Born on June 5, 1946, in Frederick, MD, Jan was the daughter of the late John and Margery Barber, Frederick.

 Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Grimes and brother, John Barber Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Groomes and her husband, Douglas Groomes, Keedysville MD; son, R. Scott Grimes, Frederick MD; daughter, Erin Riley and her husband, Hunter Riley, Frederick MD and daughter, Megan Grimes, Frederick MD.

 Also, her loving sister, Laurie Petersen and husband, Les Petersen of Thurmont, MD. Jan LOVED her Baltimore Ravens football and frequently attended training camps.

She always looked forward to the yearly Girls Trips to Ocean City, MD, and enjoying anything with her children. Private service provided by Stauffer Funeral Home.
