James Wendle Haller

James Wendle Haller, 79, of Brunswick, passed away on October 13, 2007 at his home. He was the husband of Beverly Langley Haller for 57 years.

Jim was born August 21, 1928 in Brunswick to Margaret "Ruth" Selby Haller and Irving "Jim" McComas Haller. He was a member of St. Francis/St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Jim retired from the B&O Railroad after 19 years of service. He then worked for the FAA at Dulles International Airport as an electrician and retired in 1988. Jim served in the United States Navy, aboard the USS Iowa.

He was a member of the Brunswick Moose, American Legion, and Eagles. Jim always enjoyed the many hunting, fishing, and crabbing trips with his sons, grandsons, nephews, and friends. In addition to his loving wife, Jim is survived by his sister, Dorothy Vint of Ferndale, MD, three sons, James D. and his wife, Patti, New Cumberland, PA, Michael "Ed" and his wife, Denise, Knoxville, MD, and Richard "Dicky" G. of Brunswick, MD.

Jim has five grandsons, Jason Wendle of New Cumberland, PA, Chad Edward of Knoxville, MD, Jeremy Michael of Dillsburg, PA, Ryan James of Knoxville, MD, and Bret Michael of Knoxville, MD. He also has three great-granddaughters, Bailey Ryanne, Winifred Dorothy, Sage Dakota, and one great-grandson, Lako James. Jim is also survived by thirteen nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may call from 9 am to 9 pm on Tuesday, October 16 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Avenue, Brunswick, MD. Friends may visit with family from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00.

Services: Father Limmer and Deacon Teixeira will be officiating a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis Catholic Church, First Avenue, Brunswick on Wednesday, October 17 at 1:00pm. Interment will be in Park Heights Cemetery in Brunswick MD. Serving as pallbearers will be the five grandsons and John "Don" Marklin, a dear friend.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted by Hospice of Frederick County.
