Mr. James W. Hoopengardner, Jr., 61, of Brunswick, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 at home.
Born November 7, 1948, Frederick, he was the son of the late James W. and Marjorie Cooper Hoopengardner of Brunswick.
He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors. Jim was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with his family.
Mr. Hoopengardner was previously employed by Frederick Brick Works for 14 years before he retired.
He is survived by two daughters, Jamie Garrison, Frederick, and Holly Hoopengardner, Prince Georges County, Md.
In addition, he is survived by two brothers, and three sisters who will miss him dearly. Thomas E. Hoopengardner and wife Christine, Frederick;
Paul L. Hoopengardner, Sr., and wife Tina, Brunswick; Doris Harding and husband Arthur, Brunswick; Robin Fowler and Teresa Ahalt, Frederick.
He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephew.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert L. Hoopengardner and one nephew, Thomas E. Hoopengardner, Jr.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 Maple Ave., Brunswick on Thursday, February 11th from 6-9 PM.
Services:
Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Friday, February 12th at 11:00 AM and Pastor George G. Earle and Rev. Noni Sigler officiating.
Interment will be Park Heights Cemetery, Brunswick.
Pallbearers will be Arthur L. Harding, Thomas E. Hoopengardner, Paul L. Hoopengardner, Sr., Paul L. Hoopengardner, Jr., George E. Hoopengardner, and Richard Lancaster.
