James S. McCarter

Mr. James S. McCarter, 78, of Hedgesville, WV, died on Sunday April 18 2010 at City Hospital, Martinsburg, WV.
He was the husband of Bobbie Jean (Coster)McCarter.
Born on October 3, 1931 in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Fred Thomas and Addie Lenora Hemrick McCarter.
His hobbies included wood working, gardening, golf and fishing. He was an avid Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles and Clemson Tiger fan. He was a lifetime member of Sertoma International, a member of the U.S.G.A., the American Legion and the V.F.W.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Ann McCarter of Hedgesville, WV., and Jean McCarter Phillips and husband Michael of Frederick. Three Grandchildren Dustin, Zachary and Allyson Phillips.
Visitation: Friends may call from 6-8pm on Wednesday April 21, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Services: Funeral services will be held 10:00am on Thursday April 22, in the Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Lloyd Fuss will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.
