Mr. James Rennert Moylan, Sr., 76, of Mt. Airy died on Monday, June 23, 2008, at Dove Hospice House, Westminster.
He was the husband of the late Sharon D. Peterson Moylan who died in 2006.
Born on April 5, 1932 in Baltimore he was the son of the late Frank D. ,Sr. and Caroline Rennert Moylan.
James worked for Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore from 1956-94 in various capacities including metal working and firefighting and was a member of United Steel Workers of America, Local 2610. Mr. Moylan was very proud of his Irish heritage and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Poplar Springs.
He enjoyed watching auto racing and was an accomplished artist, excelling in drawing.
Surviving are 2 sons: Jim Moylan, Jr of New Market and John Moylan and wife Robin of Baltimore; 2 grandchildren: Ashley Murdock and Kevin Hughes; 2 brothers and sisters: Patricia Kettenbach and John R. Dicky Moylan.
James was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Sonny Moylan, Sr.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Thursday, June 26, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd. in Mt. Airy.
Services:
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 27, at St. Michael's Catholic Church at Poplar Springs, 1125 St. Michael's Rd, Mt. Airy with Rev. Michael J. Ruane as Celebrant.
Interment will be in Poplar Springs Methodist Church Cemetery.
